Overview
Join to apply for the Relief Support Worker role at CrossReach.
CrossReach provides social care with a Christian ethos. This post requires PVG membership and SSSC registration and a commitment to working within our ethos. If you are respectful of our Christian ethos and can work within it, this role may be a good fit.
What Your Day Might Look Like
One morning you might be supporting someone to head out for a swim. Later, it could be joining them on a shopping trip, helping with an appointment, or simply being there to listen over a cup of tea. Each day varies, but the focus is walking alongside adults experiencing mental health difficulties, encouraging independence, and helping them live life their way.
Responsibilities
* Supporting people to plan and enjoy their day, including cooking, socialising, or pursuing a hobby.
* Assisting with medication, appointments, and day-to-day routines.
* Encouraging confidence, choice, and community involvement.
* Providing patient, kind, and practical support as needed.
What You Will Bring
You do not need years of experience. What matters most is compassion, reliability, and the willingness to make a difference. If you are open to learning and happy to work as part of a team, we will provide training and support to thrive.
Requirements and About the Role
* PVG membership and SSSC registration, with a commitment to meeting registration standards.
* Eligibility to work in the UK (UK Visas and Immigration permissions). We check entitlement to work for all prospective employees.
* Respect for and ability to work within CrossReach’s Christian ethos.
Why Join Us
This is a role where the small things matter. You will be part of a caring team with opportunities to learn and grow, and the knowledge that your work helps someone live a fuller, brighter life.
