We are looking for a friendly and professional Guest Services Assistant to welcome visitors to the Dartington Estate. You will be the first point of contact for accommodation enquiries, general visitor questions, and the smooth running of our Guest Services department. This is a varied role that combines customer service, administrative duties, and occasional support in our gift shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Process accommodation bookings, check guests in and out, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in upselling services and promoting offerings where appropriate.
- Support gift shop operations when required.
- Encourage and respond to customer feedback, following company procedures for complaints.
- Promote a safe, healthy, and secure environment for staff and guests.
- Work flexibly across shifts, including holidays; the department operates 364 days a year.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a customer-facing role in a commercial environment.
- Experience using booking systems and strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and telephone skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
- Proactive, organised, and able to multitask under pressure.
