Job Overview

Senior Booking Co‑ordinator

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to patients' experience of care? We are seeking a Senior Booking Co‑ordinator to join our well‑established Patient Booking team.

In this role, you will support the smooth scheduling of patient appointments, ensuring treatment is arranged within required timeframes. You'll work closely with clinicians, patients and colleagues across the Trust, so strong communication and negotiation skills are essential. If you are calm, empathetic and confident working on your own initiative, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This is an onsite role, with the option for flexible working patterns once training is complete. No two days are the same—it's a fast‑paced environment where attention to detail, adaptability and a good sense of humour are key.

We provide full training and ongoing support to help you settle into the role and thrive.

Hours

Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week (9am–5pm)
Part‑time hours will also be considered

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Booking Co‑ordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all elective patients are admitted efficiently for surgery, in line with national guidelines and the Trust's Patient Access Policy. You will be responsible for managing waiting lists effectively and making confident, well‑informed decisions to support timely patient care.

You will communicate these decisions clearly to key stakeholders—including Consultants, Managers, Theatre teams and Nursing staff—helping to maximise the efficient use of Trust resources and ensuring a smooth patient journey from referral to admission.
