Motor & Injury claims Solicitor, Belfast, Competitive salary. Our client, a leading insurance-focused law firm, is seeking a skilled Complex Injury Solicitor to join its Belfast Large Loss team. Acting on high-value High Court claims (including catastrophic injury, casualty and motor matters), you will support the Lead Lawyer on multi-million-pound cases while running your own portfolio of files valued between £100k??£250k. This role offers genuine progression, hands-on involvement in headline litigation and regular interaction with sophisticated insurer clients. Key Responsibilities Assist the Lead Lawyer on complex, high-value multi-track and catastrophic injury claims (brain, spinal cord, amputation and fatal injuries). Manage a personal caseload of large loss claims (£100k??£250k). Draft clear, concise technical advice covering indemnity, liability, quantum and causation. Analyse extensive medical and quantum evidence, prepare chronologies and identify anomalies. Instruct and brief medical experts; draft pleadings, witness statements and applications. Conduct witness interviews and gather liability evidence, highlighting gaps for further investigation. Liaise with insurer clients, insured parties, counsel and other stakeholders, providing regular updates. Attend conferences, joint settlement meetings, mediations and court hearings (in person or remotely). Delegate tasks to Legal Assistants/Paralegals and support their technical development. Maintain accurate case-management and MI records, ensuring compliance with LSNI regulations.
