Minimum Requirements
1. BCom (Hons) Finance (Essential/Minimum)
2. Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum)
3. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (Recommended/Desirable)
4. 8-10 years of relevant experience in Business Operations with expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (Essential/Minimum)
5. Proficient knowledge of the Companies Act, Income Tax, and commodity regulations
6. Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
7. Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
8. Membership or affiliation with the SA Institute for Chartered Accountants (Recommended/Desirable)
9. Proven ability in financial management, strategic planning, compliance, and governance assurance
10. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record in talent development and performance management
Duties & Responsibilities
11. Oversee all financial management activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulations, and governmental guidelines.
12. Lead the preparation of accurate financial reports and manage the consolidated budget forecast for the business unit.
13. Manage stakeholder relationships, providing specialized financial support and representing the company at essential forums.
14. Implement best practices for functional excellence by standardizing processes, eliminating redundancies, and fostering knowledge sharing.
15. Drive strategic financial planning in alignment with business unit and group strategies, ensuring seamless integration of all financial initiatives.
16. Develop and nurture a high-performance finance team through effective talent development and performance management practices.
17. Ensure adherence to ethical financial governance, continuously assessing compliance and mitigating risks across all financial operations.
18. Lead discussions with relevant stakeholders to align financial strategies with company objectives and resolve any operational issues.
19. Monitor and forecast financial risks, ensuring implementation of risk management strategies and compliance with tax regulations.
20. Promote a culture focused on safety, continuous learning, and operational excellence within the finance team.
