Respiratory/Gen Med Consultant with Specialist Interest in Lung Cancer
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Consultant Physician in Respiratory & General Medicine with specialist interest in lung cancer to join our friendly and enthusiastic team at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC).
Successful applicants must have full registration with the GMC and be on the Specialist Register in order to be eligible for appointment to this level of post.
Role Summary
The post will be based primarily at The Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, with a requirement to work at West Cumberland Hospital as per job plan. The post involves out‑patient and in‑patient duties and a regular commitment to both in‑reach into the medical admissions unit and on‑call for general medicine.
Responsibilities
* Deliver out‑patient and in‑patient care for respiratory and general medicine patients.
* Provide specialist interest in lung cancer and lung cancer diagnostics, including bronchoscopy and endo‑bronchial ultrasound.
* Participate in the medical admissions unit and be on‑call for general medicine.
* Work within a committed and experienced multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
* Full registration with the GMC.
* On the Specialist Register.
* Specialist interest in lung cancer and experience with bronchoscopy and endo‑bronchial ultrasound.
* Experience in out‑patient and in‑patient care within respiratory and general medicine.
