Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance.
The role is based on site 5 days per week in Reading Berkshire
Your future duties and responsibilities:
In this role, you will support the resolution of a backlog of infrastructure issues, implement system changes and security patches, and respond to incidents across secure environments.
You will work within air-gapped reference and development environments based in Reading, helping to maintain the reliability, security, and operational effectiveness of critical systems.
You will take ownership of technical issues from investigation through to resolution, working closely with stakeholders to implement approved changes and maintain accurate documentation. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the stability and continuous improvement of a secure infrastructure estate while working as part of a collaborative and knowledgeable team.
Key responsibilities:
•Investigate & Resolve system incidents and infrastructure problems
•Implement & Deliver approved system changes and security updates
•Maintain & Improve system reliability and operational performance
•Document & Manage change requests and technical activities
•Support & Collaborate with stakeholders across the programme
•Monitor & Respond to infrastructure incidents as they arise
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
To be successful in this role, you should have strong infrastructure and systems management experience, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and deliver effective solutions within secure environments. You should be comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and maintaining high standards of documentation and operational support.
Essential qualifications and experience:
•Strong systems management and infrastructure support experience
•Proven ability to investigate and resolve technical incidents and problems
•Experience implementing system changes and security patches
•Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation
•Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
•UK National with current SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance
