About the Service

Highbury House is a specialist service that provides 24-hour support to adults with complex mental health needs. The home offers a safe, structured, and supportive environment designed to promote recovery, independence, and dignity. Our team works closely with service users, their families, and external professionals to create personalised care plans that respond to individual needs and goals. Highbury House has a strong focus on rehabilitation and quality of life, ensuring each person receives care that is compassionate, respectful, and empowering.

About the Role

As a Care Team Leader, you will coordinate the care of a group of service users by leading a team of Support Workers in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will:

1. Lead and support your team in line with service user care plans.
2. Act as a role model by promoting best practice and discouraging unsafe practice.
3. Mentor and supervise new staff, supporting them through their induction and Care Certificate.
4. Carry out delegated healthcare tasks, undertake routine audits, and promote safe working practices.
5. Monitor and report on care quality, staff performance, and any concerns.
6. Deliver training on key subjects, such as moving and handling and CPI training, and maintain compliance while supporting the ongoing development of your team.
7. This role is worked across 3 long days per week, with shifts running from 08:00 to 20:15/20:00 to 08:15

This role requires flexibility to work shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays, as part of a rota system.

About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

8. A Level 3 Health and Social Care Diploma/NVQ (essential).
9. At least 2 years’ experience at a senior level within health and social care.
10. Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

12. Reliability, compassion, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
