Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in Region, the key Requirements include:
* 3rd Level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
* Minimum 3 years’ plus experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing the health and safety of all stakeholders in decision-making and execution.
* Lead by example, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of and adhere to Company-specific Health & Safety policies and procedures, integrating safety into all discussions.
* Be fully aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out) related to these sources of energy.
* Maintain comprehensive knowledge of project Mechanical systems and monitor system installation for compliance with specifications and schedule.
* Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs).
* Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to verify compliance with relevant standards.
* Coordinate that rooms and areas meet CSA and MEP Quality standards for advanced Beneficial Use, aligned with the master construction program.
* Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and work progression according to the master schedule.
* Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete their works successfully, streamlining electrical activities.
* Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities and sequencing for Mechanical and CSA scope work faces, enhancing program delivery.
* Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders as required.
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports.
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower against the schedule.
* Review and ensure system mechanical stakeholders produce:
(i) Construction and Commissioning Programs aligned with the Master Schedule
(ii) Works execution documents and trackers
(iii) Risk Assessments and Method Statements
(iv) Progress reports aligned with their scope and program
(v) Field and Vendor turnover/handover packs as required
