Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Your work will make a significant difference in the lives of seniors and those requiring additional care, ensuring they maintain their dignity and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes or care facilities.

We are an independent home care provider based in Hereford, established in 2013. We support our service users with their daily living, enabling them to live in their own homes, independently and safely. Some of our service users need help with washing and dressing, others just like a smile and a friendly chat

What would you be doing?

- You would be visiting our service users in their own homes to reduce isolation and to help them maintain their independence.

- You would be helping our service users with activities they are not able to do without you This could be washing, dressing, cooking meals or even just walking the dog

- You would be giving our service users their medication as prescribed by their GP to maintain their optimum physical and mental health.

- You would be building up a relationship with our service users so you would recognise and report changes in their physical or mental health, so we can ensure they get the help they need.

- You may be escorting our service users to a hospital appointment, coffee shop or a supermarket.

- You would be documenting all of your visits, so we can monitor service user's health and wellbeing.

- You would be teaming up with other professional services to ensure our service users receive the best support.

What can we offer?

* Set day rosters to encourage a good work/life balance.

-Contracted minimum hours of 16, 24 or 30.

* We provide work mobile phones so there is no cost to you

* We pay you travel time to get to and from your visits.

-We pay you 50p per mile fuel allowance in between your visits.

-We pay for your DBS

* We pay you to shadow experienced colleagues.

* We pay you for all of your training

* We pay wages 4 weekly straight into your account.

* We are a supportive team and will offer you as much training and support as we can

Qualifications:

- You will need to smile, have good listening ears and hold a good conversation. It makes a massive difference to our service users.

- You will need good communication skills and a good sense of humour. Ability to have banter is a must... We have some cheeky service users

- You will need to be able to think outside of the box. You will have access to our service users care plans prior to your visits, so you will already have some background information, but we also have service users who are all very unique and sometimes will need you to be able to think on your feet.

- You will need to be able to get yourself to and from our service user's home safely. This can be a car, moped or bicycle.

- You will need to have an enhanced DBS check and be able to provide us with a minimum of 2 references. We pay for the DBS check, so no need to worry about the costs

-Must be available to work every other weekend.
