About the Role
As the Facilities Manager, you'll be responsible for the smooth running of building systems across all the sites. You’ll ensure the workplace is safe, functional, and comfortable while driving improvements in environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost-effective service delivery.
This is a key role within the organisation, requiring both hands-on involvement and strategic oversight. You'll also lead the delivery of efficient document management services, including inbound and outbound mail, scanning, and centralised print operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain building systems to ensure health and safety compliance across all sites, including fire safety and first aid provisions
* Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and respond to reactive maintenance requests promptly
* Manage service contracts for both hard and soft facilities services, including tendering and contract negotiations
* Support ESG goals through effective procurement and energy management
* Manage small-scale refurbishment and office improvement projects
* Oversee the full lifecycle of document and mailroom services
* Produce management reports for board and regulatory use
* Review and improve departmental policies, procedures, and systems
* Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external contractors
* Stay up to date on best practices in facilities and health & safety management
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in facilities management, ideally in an office environment
* Strong knowledge of building systems and current H&S regulations
* A relevant qualification in Facilities Management or Health & Safety (or willingness to study)
* Commercially aware with a focus on value and efficiency
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* A detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset
* A hands-on leader who is organised, reliable, and adaptable
* Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
* A continuous improvement mindset – always looking for smarter ways to work
