Job description
Prospero Teaching is looking for kind and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at a welcoming mainstream primary school in Emsworth.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your days will be varied and rewarding. You’ll:
1. Support learning through tailored, structured activities
2. Help children build their confidence, communication, and social skills
3. Contribute to a calm and supportive classroom environment
4. Assist with planning and delivering lessons alongside teaching staff
5. Observe and track progress to help meet each child’s goals
6. Support with personal care as needed, always with dignity and kindness
7. Champion inclusion by making sure all pupils feel seen, safe, and supported
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be someone who:
8. Special Educational Needs Experience
9. Brings patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to each day
10. Understands how to use tools like Makaton and visual aids to support learning
11. Communicates well and enjoys being part of a team
12. Has a solid grasp of English, Maths, and basic IT skills
13. Is passionate about creating a safe and nurturing space for every child

14. Location: Emsworth
15. Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (mainstream primary)
16. Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:50 AM – 15:20 PM (part-time considered)
17. Start Date: September 2025
18. Pay Rate: From £ per hour
