 
        
        As the School & College Outreach Manager, based within the busy Marketing, Recruitment & Communications Department, you’ll coordinate and lead a team of outreach specialists who represent BCU to prospective students and key partners across the education sector. You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering a year-round programme of engaging outreach activity — both on and off campus — that raises awareness of the University, strengthens relationships with partner institutions, and drives undergraduate applications.
Full-time, permanent position. Grade: G.
The full-time starting salary is normally £44,131.00 per annum, with progression available in post to £51,182.00 per annum.
Responsibilities
 * Lead, motivate and coordinate a team of School & College Outreach Officers and Senior Officers, ensuring activity is aligned with BCU’s recruitment and widening participation goals.
 * Develop and deliver an annual programme of inspiring talks, workshops and activities for school-aged audiences both on campus and in partner schools and colleges.
 * Build and maintain a curriculum-level account management model for key partner institutions, ensuring two-way, long-term relationships.
 * Create and oversee delivery plans based on partner needs, aligning with BCU’s on- and off-campus offer for secondary and FE audiences.
 * Promote the BCU brand narrative consistently across all outreach activities, presentations and materials.
 * Oversee the creation of recruitment collateral, including publications, stands, flyers and prospectuses.
 * Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement activities, providing insights to enhance strategy and practice.
 * Provide market and competitor intelligence on regional recruitment activity across the HE sector.
 * Train, support and supervise Student Ambassadors at external events and on-campus masterclasses.
 * Act as a key internal advisor, providing professional expertise and insight to inform the University’s recruitment and widening participation strategies.
 * Manage event budgets, ensuring value for money and compliance with risk and safety processes.
Qualifications
 * Proven experience coordinating recruitment, outreach or similar engagement activities.
 * Strong leadership and team management skills.
 * Excellent communication and public speaking abilities.
 * Ability to analyse data and insights to inform strategy and decision making.
 * Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups, including education partners.
 * A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to travel to events as required.
