We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Account Manager to join our team and work closely alongside our group of internal and external sales staff. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing existing customer relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs. You’ll play a key role in driving revenue growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Job Duties:
* Contribute to sales targets.
* Bring in profitable sales from water utilities, civils, merchants and contractors.
* Input sales orders, purchase orders, CRM contacts onto the OGL system.
* Answer the sales office phone and deal with any enquiries, queries etc.
* Build professional, long-lasting relationships with customers.
* Negotiate with customers to secure orders.
* Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best purchasing prices.
* Organise paperwork both physically and digitally from start to finish to ensure all invoices are paid on time.
* Provide technical information to customers.
* Assist the Sales Office Manager with inputting of sales orders, purchase orders and quotations.
* Assist the general sales team with inputting sales orders, purchase orders & quotations during busy periods and staff absences.
* To attend annual company stock counts.
* Display a professional and positive attitude at all times.
* Actively contribute to all meetings and training sessions.
* Possible overnight stays and travelling.
* Be part of the weekly call out rota, answer the phone out of hours and deal with the enquiry.
* Adhere to company procedures.
* All other reasonable duties.
Skills/Qualifications:
* Demonstrate a personality that can win customers over and build trust/confidence.
* Thoroughness.
* Communication Skills i.e. answering the sales office phone and dealing with enquiries.
* Computer Skills, i.e. able to use Excel and OGL.
* Exceptional organizational skills.
* Enthusiasm, technical ability, problem solving, able to secure orders.
* Ability to converse with internal and external colleagues and meet with team members to agree actions to win orders.
* Ability to present results, good or bad, and explain reasons and future action plans.
