We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our primary care team at HMP Altcourse, a category B remand prison located in Fazakerley, Liverpool. HMP Altcourse houses around 1,164 patients aged 18+ and is one of the busiest remand prisons in England. Your role will focus on dispensing, clinical screening, structured medication, and delivering services including vaccination, pain management, minor ailments, and substance misuse services.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm
Salary
This full-time role offers an annual salary between £49,848 and £59,941, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As the Clinical Pharmacist, your responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the provision and delivery of a safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service
* Providing expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring modern medicines management services
* Leading a team of Pharmacy technicians

Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC
* Vocational Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, including pre-registration training
* Relevant post-qualification experience
* Ideally, at least 1 year of hospital experience (not essential)
