Overview
As a Team Leader in Supported Living you will oversee a dedicated team of Support Workers and ensure that individuals receive personalised support tailored to their needs, preferences and goals. You will by example, promote independence and help create safe, positive and enabling environment for everyone
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, support and supervise Support Workers across the service
* Ensure the delivery of personalised strengths-based support that promotes independence and choice
* Complete and maintain support plans, risk assessments and daily records
* Oversee medication process and ensure safe administration
* Support individuals with daily living skills, community participation and wellbeing
* Build strong positive relationships with service users, families and multidisciplinary professionals
* Assist with rota planning and ensure adequate staffing levels
* Support the onboarding, training and development of new and existing staff
* Respond professionally to incidents, safeguarding concerns and emergencies
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies and CQC standards
About you
* Experience working in a MH setting
* Ability to demonstrate a detailed understanding and practical application of company policies and procedures
* High standard of verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong IT skills, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Strong time management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire staff to perform effectively
* Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure clear and professional communication with all staff members (person-centred approach with staff)
* Participate in the On-Duty call rota as scheduled
* Ideally educated to degree level in Psychology or a related field, with previous experience working in high-risk environments and supporting individuals with behaviours that may challenge. Experience in Mental Health settings is essential
* A role-model to other staff at all times
* Empathetic to the needs, preferences, and viewpoints of people supported
* Works in partnership with people they support, with strong person-centred value
* Knowing how to delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure work is distributed efficiently and allows team members to grow
