Are you a passionate Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) looking for an opportunity to support children and young people across Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea?
West Central London Mind are seeking dedicated and compassionate Educational Mental Health Practitioners to join our Mental Health Support Team in delivering outcome focused, evidence-based interventions to schools across Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea.
You Will:
The post holder will provide preventative, evidence-based mental health support to children and young people with mild to moderate needs. Postholder will work collaboratively within schools/colleges to enhance positive mental health and improve access to specialist services when needed.
* Deliver evidence-based interventions
* Conduct therapeutic assessments and manage a caseload effectively
* Support rapid access to specialist services for those with more severe needs
* Contribute to delivering a wide variety of psychoeducational workshops to children, young people, parents/carers and school staff as part of the whole school approach to mental health
* Attend regular supervision, both 1:1 and group to maintain the highest standards of professional practice and continued learning in the role
* Empower school staff to identify and manage mental health concerns
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to service evaluation
* Attend multi-agency meetings and support transitions in education/employment
* Develop clinical and training materials in collaboration with the wider team
You are:
* A qualified Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) who is highly motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
* Experienced of working within educational settings
* Aware and have a strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management procedures
* Committed to inclusive, values-based practice
* Excellent communicator with organisational and teamwork skills.
