Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work as a Senior Social Worker in the community mental health treatment teams, providing high‑quality assessment and intervention to service users experiencing a wide range of mental health problems. You will promote recovery and independence, use Mental Health Care clusters to identify appropriate pathways and treatment plans, and support the delivery of strength‑and‑asset‑based approaches that promote recovery and social inclusion for individuals and families.
The post requires the implementation of the personalisation agenda through strengths‑based assessments and a vital role in delivering the statutory social‑care duties and responsibilities within the Care Act (2014). Following appointment, you must actively practice as an AMHP (subject to AMHP qualification – if not currently an AMHP you will undertake AMHP training at the earliest opportunity) on the Area AMHP rota, undertake MHA assessments and other allocated work in relation to service users with a range of mental‑health problems, and engage with their carers to take appropriate action within legislation.
