Role: Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - Engineering (Mechatronics)
Location: Rotherham
Salary: Up to GBP 37,199 per annum including MFS + benefits (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Vacancy Type: Permanent, 37 hours/week, all year round

The Role
If you have experience planning, delivering, and assessing apprenticeships in Engineering (Mechatronics) to the Apprenticeship Standard, this role is for you.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help develop the next generation of engineers. You will support the development of up-to-date knowledge, skills, and behaviors, and have a good understanding of employer skills needs. Your efforts will help create a brighter future for enthusiastic learners.
The position involves coaching, assessing, and supporting apprentices on Engineering courses. You will regularly use e-portfolios, conduct on-site performance reviews and assessments, and ensure apprentices are the best they can be. You will also maintain accurate records of student progress via tracking systems and e-portfolios using your excellent IT skills.
You should be able to build good relationships, manage a caseload of apprentices, and communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and organizations.
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in Mechatronics within industry
* A relevant industry NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
* An A1/V1 Assessors Award (or equivalent)
* Excellent IT skills
* Teaching Qualification
* IQA Award (desirable)
Department Info
As part of the Work-based Learning department, you will report to the Curriculum Team Leader/Manager. You will work with key stakeholders such as Curriculum Leaders, Managers, and Lecturers, and build relationships with other apprenticeship stakeholders like the Functional Skills Team. You will adopt a flexible, proactive approach to supporting learners in the workplace.
