Shift pattern for the Maintenance Engineer:
Days – Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
Key Responsibilities:
Work as part of the maintenance team as a mechanically focused technician with some multi-skilled experience. Provide mechanical expertise, carry out repairs on plant equipment efficiently, and ensure equipment safety and fitness for purpose. Responsible for safety permits when required and supervising contractor activity.
* Provide mechanical support to repair all plant equipment.
* Ensure all machinery and equipment are mechanically and electrically safe.
* Support maintenance activities as needed.
* Perform repairs on pumps, conveyor systems, gearboxes, hydraulics & pneumatics.
* Experience within chemical or heavy engineering is preferred.
* Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer with formal Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
* Flexibility and motivation to undertake overtime are essential.
