We Build Recruitment are now looking to hire an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client, a leading Preston based Civil Engineering company.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will support the Quantity Surveying department in managing the commercial aspects of construction projects, helping to ensure cost control, value for money, and contractual compliance throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for construction projects.
2. Support the measurement and valuation of works on-site and from drawings.
3. Help with the preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts.
4. Monitor project costs and progress to identify variances and suggest corrective actions.
5. Assist with procurement activities, including reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotes.
6. Support the management of contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
7. Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and resolve queries.
8. Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
