Senior React Engineer (Remote - Northern Ireland) About the Role We are seeking a Senior React Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in Northern Ireland, where you will play a key role in designing and building modern, scalable web applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences while helping shape the technical direction of our frontend architecture. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys owning features end-to-end, mentoring other developers, and building performant applications using modern frameworks and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain modern web applications using React Develop scalable and maintainable frontend architectures Work closely with backend teams to integrate APIs and services Build performant and responsive UI components with strong attention to user experience Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions Ensure code quality through testing, reviews, and best practices Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving engineering standards Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver high-impact features Participate in agile development processes and sprint planning Required Skills & Experience 5+ years professional software engineering experience Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript Experience building production-scale frontend applications Proven experience developing applications deployed on AWS Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and frontend integration Experience with state management frameworks (Redux, Zustand, Context API, etc.) Solid understanding of performance optimisation and accessibility Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows Experience with Git and collaborative code review practices Desirable Experience Experience with or server-side rendering Experience working with microservices architectures Knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or DevOps practices Requirements Must be based in Northern Ireland Must have the right to work in the UK Comfortable working in a fully remote engineering team What We Offer Fully remote working Competitive salary Opportunity to work on modern cloud-based platforms Collaborative and supportive engineering culture Professional development and learning opportunities Flexible working environment Benefits: Work From Home
