We have an exciting new vacancy available within our Trading Support team for a Promotions Assistant.
In this role, you will facilitate and administer promotional activities to ensure that the objectives set out in our Trading Briefs are met, delivering the wholesale offer, driving sales, and increasing margin.
You will also deliver promotional activities and data inputs by ensuring that all promotional planning and preparation are completed accurately and on time, following documented processes, systems, and calendars.
1. Ensure that the promotion master sheets are fully prepared and complete before extraction.
2. Complete data preparation for the Promotions Co-Ordinator as inputs to promotions meetings.
3. Support the team in chasing up and closing out promotion meeting actions.
4. Run promotion data validation reports to identify and fix setup issues and gaps (e.g., pre-checks).
5. Liaise with other departments at all levels to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
6. Manage amendments for wholesale promotions and maintain promotion data accuracy.
7. Perform SAP keying and data validations for specific promotions (e.g., Booker National Deals, ad-hoc promotions).
8. Run extracts for Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations, and SAP Keying.
9. Liaise with other functions to resolve data issues and prevent future re-occurrences.
10. Maintain and develop new promotion processes and systems for ongoing improvements and reporting.
11. Run weekly price comparison checks.
12. Handle ad hoc queries from various departments (e.g., Category Managers, Trading Admin, Supply Chain).
13. Run status checks to ensure all SKUs are live before retailer buy-in begins.
14. Support the team with other activities outside of promotions.
Qualifications and skills required include:

* Proficiency in Office 365, especially Excel (intermediate level minimum).
