Job Description:
As a Validation Engineer, you will report to the Validation Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for conducting testing on validation test beds to sign-off components, working on our 1.7l to 7.1l range of diesel engines. You will ensure process excellence, maintain engineering best practices, and documentation.
You will collaborate with engineering teams to define and deliver robust methods to achieve Product Objectives and Technical Objectives within the Diesel Engines product range. You will also coordinate with the Test operations team to ensure quality data collection.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create detailed test plans, execute testing activities, analyze results, and document findings with clear recommendations for process partners.
* Carry out complex engine validation tests.
* Evaluate products and processes; perform needs analysis and initiate ideas.
* Stay updated on new technologies or develop new technologies.
* Communicate technical information to stakeholders.
* Support and advise engineers, managers, marketing personnel, dealers, customers, and suppliers; develop a keen understanding of internal and external customer needs.
What We're Looking For:
* Minimum 3 years' experience.
* Experience in validation of engines and engine systems.
* Proficiency with testbed software, calibration tools, emissions measuring equipment, and test data logging systems.
* Hands-on engine testing and problem-solving skills.
* Previous leadership experience (direct or indirect).
* Knowledge of Project Management methods and processes.
* CREO experience is desirable but can be taught.
* PowerBI (dashboards) experience is advantageous.
