We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Worker to join our Supported Housing Service on a Full-time (37 hrs), Permanent basis! We provide supported accommodation for individuals who have experienced homelessness and who are motivated to address their problematic alcohol and substance use issues. We support these individuals by engaging them with recovery & treatment services and through providing housing related support so that they can live independently. As a Project Worker, you'll lead each shift, oversee the smooth running of the scheme, and manage the Scheme Support Officers on duty. As a Project Worker you will lead each shift by managing the scheme and overseeing the Scheme Support Officers across all our projects. Our values are positive, connected and considerate. * Engaging and interacting with the people we support
* Writing and following a support plan with the individual you are supporting
* Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
* Liaising with external agencies
* Building community links and establishing partnerships that benefit our customers
* Supporting with financial awareness and management
* Carrying out health and safety checks, reporting repairs, making sure accommodation is secure and welcoming.
* Encouraging daily living skills supporting
* Crisis management and de-escalation responding calmly to challenging situations, safeguarding concerns or emergencies.
* Promoting recovery and wellbeing by motivating and encouraging individuals to attend appointments, engage with treatment or take part in positive activities.
* Recording and reporting by keeping accurate notes and updating case management systems.
* Shift leadership by overseeing the running of the service, delegating tasks and being the support for Scheme Support Officers.
* Encouraging social inclusion by supporting people to reconnect with family, friends, hobbies or community activities that matter to them.
* Celebrating progress by recognising achievements, however small and helping people set realistic next steps.
Our motivation is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse, and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental and manage disputes or conflicts appropriately.
* Competitive salary of £26,072.00
* Our service is 24/7 and this is a day and nights post based on a rolling rota. Which would involve day shifts and weekends, there may be an occasional requirement to cover wakeful nights.
* It is essential for the successful candidate to have a full driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
* An enhanced DBS check is required for the role, which we will pay for
