An exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic site-based Information Controller to join a busy project team supporting activities within VolkerStevin across multiple projects.
VolkerStevin has recently adopted the Common Data Environment (CDE) Asite, and the role will support projects using this tool as well as new projects implementing the CDE.
The candidate will provide efficient day-to-day information control for project data. The role will be varied and include travel to project sites located across the north-west initially. This is a fast-paced role in a business adopting a more digital approach to project delivery.

This role is predominantly based in our Preston head Office; however, the successful candidate will be expected to visit project sites periodically, so a driving licence and access to a vehicle are a prerequisite.
Responsibilities
* Platform administrative support to the project team
* Monitor CDE workflows to ensure the system operates smoothly and that data approvals are not delayed
* Control incoming and outgoing data exchange
* Photocopying, filing, and scanning data to be stored on the CDE (Common Data Environment)
* Maintain document registers where used
* Share Information Management/CDE guidance for internal teams and as part of the supply chain pack
* Conduct document control QA checks on naming conventions, system use and adherence to Information Management protocol
* Ensure documents are checked and submitted on time prior to due dates
* Ensure documents are kept in the correct place and department file archive
Quality and information management
* Maintain and accurately update information in the electronic document management system (Asite)
* Assist and guide the project team in using the electronic data management system and document management process
* Maintain CDE security to allow access only to appropriate parties
* Provide handover compiling support for practical completion
* Ensure documentation, drawings and specifications are up to date and at the correct revision
* Apply the document management process across project teams or during transition to operations
* Act as a point of contact for platform support for internal staff and external staff (suppliers)
* Act as CDE superuser and provide one-to-one support when needed
* Attend Information Management/CDE progress meetings
* Monitor multiple platforms to minimise data duplication where necessary
About you
* Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and Internet
* CDE knowledge, specifically Asite, is advantageous
* Working knowledge of SharePoint content management is advantageous
* Awareness of standards reflecting information control including ISO 19650 and PAS1192
* Proven work experience as a Document Controller or similar role
* Familiarity with quality processes and standards including ISO 19650 and ISO 9001
* Experience delivering project information across multiple CDE/EDMS platforms
