Sefton’s Youth Justice Service is looking for a skilled and motivated Operational Manager to join their forward-thinking team and help drive improvement and high-quality outcomes for children and young people. The Role: As Operational Manager, you will play a key leadership role within the Youth Justice Service, working closely with the Service Manager and alongside a multi-agency partnership to ensure effective delivery of youth justice interventions. You will: Provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across youth justice practice. Deliver robust case management supervision and quality assurance across the team. Work in close collaboration with Children’s Social Care, education, police, health, and other key partners. Support, mentor and manage staff to ensure high standards of delivery and compliance with national standards. Contribute to the service’s strategic priorities, inspection readiness, and performance improvement.✅ About You: We are seeking someone who is: An experienced leader or manager within the youth justice, criminal justice or children’s services sector. Professionally qualified in a relevant field such as social work, youth justice, probation, or youth work. Either holds a leadership qualification or has demonstrable equivalent experience. Knowledgeable about current youth justice policy, legislation, and best practice.
