Job Description
We are looking for an experienced leader who can bring clarity, governance, and a forward-thinking approach to risk and resilience in a complex, multi-site FM environment.
The successful candidate will champion robust frameworks, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with technical specialists, operational teams, and clients to ensure resilience is both embedded and measurable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a risk and resilience strategy aligned with FM operations, client needs, and UK regulatory frameworks.
2. Establish governance structures covering health and safety, operational risk, compliance, and continuity across multiple sites.
3. Oversee risk identification, assessment, and control across hard FM, soft FM, engineering, security, cleaning, and workplace services.
4. Own the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), ensuring alignment with ISO 22301 and contractual commitments.
5. Lead incident response during disruptions, coordinating with site teams, contractors, emergency services, and clients.
6. Oversee internal audits, external certifications, and client assurance processes.
7. Assess and monitor risk across supply chains, embedding resilience into procurement and contractor management.
8. Lead and develop a high-performing risk and resilience function, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
9. Senior-level experience in risk management, resilience, or business continuity within FM or the built environment.
10. Strong understanding of statutory compliance, FM operations, and asset management.
11. Proven incident leadership and the ability to influence operational teams and clients.
12. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
13. Experience managing multi-site portfolios and complex service environments.
14. Calm, credible, and decisive under pressure.
15. Practical and solutions-focused, balancing compliance with operational realities.
16. Able to partner effectively with central functions, sectors, and account teams.
