A nurturing SEMH school in Tameside is looking for a Qualified Primary Teacher to join their close knit school.
This is a unique opportunity to join this well established education group in supporting pupils with diverse needs. The school are looking for a Primary Teacher with proven experience of working with SEND or SEMH pupils. They provide a broad and balanced curriculum to promote engagement and individual progression.
Job description:
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons, to KS1/KS2 pupils with complex SEMH, ASC and other learning needs
* Alongside the curriculum, providing emotional regulation and sensory support
* Reporting any safeguarding concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead
* Promoting independence and confidence through tailored, nurture focused learning
* Tracking progress and contribute to EHCP processes
* Preparing pupils for transition to KS3
* Working hours: 8:15am - 4pm
* Starting ASAP
* Salary: £32,000 - £38,000
Person specification:
* Experience of teaching, preferably in a SEN setting
* QTS or QTLS (desirable, open to ECTs)
* Experience of adapting teaching to various needs
* Ability to work effectively in a team
* Adaptable, resilient and empathetic attitude
* Recognised degree in any subject
