About the Role The SEN Teaching Assistant will provide essential support to pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals. Working closely with teachers and SEN specialists, you will deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, support classroom management, and help maintain a calm and inclusive environment. Your contribution will directly impact pupils’ progress and overall school experience. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN. Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual pupil needs. Support pupils’ social, emotional, and communication development. Implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and record progress. Assist with personal care needs as required, maintaining dignity and sensitivity. Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and engagement. Qualifications and Skills Experience working with children with SEN or additional learning needs. Understanding of child development, behaviour support, and communication strategies. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff. Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils. Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete all relevant safer recruitment checks.
