My exclusive PE backed client is the UK market leader Utilities Services provider in its field, with its HO and Central Finance function based in Newcastle-u-Lyme, Staffordshire, and operates through a nationwide depot network. This new Group Management Accountant role has been created as part of the beefed up Central Finance team to support their ongoing profitable expansion. This will be a hybrid role with c 3 days/week based at the Newcastle-u-Lyme HO working within the close-knit cohesive Central Finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this exciting career opportunity will have a strong focus on Business Analysis, FP&A and ongoing Systems development. Key responsibilities will include: Ensuring the preparation of timely and robust monthly and annual Group financial reports. Create new models and automate reporting for analysing business performance - using a range of Excel, Power BI, ERP & FP&A tools. Support commercial decision-making including Pricing, Margin Analysis, Customer Profitability and Cost Optimisation. Support the annual Budget process and monthly/quarterly Forecast processes. New Investment Appraisal and proactive input to various New Business Development initiatives. Identify opportunities for Cost savings and efficiency improvements. Stock/Inventory management and Group Capex control. Cost allocations, accruals and revenue recognition to ensure accurate and meaningful assessment of local depot performance. Overall, this is seen as a key new role to support the Group's ongoing successful growth strategy and the successful candidate can expect strong promotion opportunities going forward. Candidate profile: Qualified level (or high calibre QBE). Strong Management Accounts experience with well developed Excel/BI systems and analytical skills.
