Join a leading environmental consultancy working at the forefront of renewable energy, utilities, and residential development. We’re looking for a skilled Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) to support a growing portfolio of projects across Scotland’s Central Belt.
This is a field-based role, ideally suited to someone based in or near Perth, with regular travel to wind, solar, utility, and housing sites. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring ecological compliance on active construction sites, advising contractors and clients, and safeguarding habitats and protected species.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver on-site ecological supervision and monitoring for construction projects
* Provide clear, practical ecological advice to site teams and stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with legislation, planning conditions, and mitigation measures
* Record and report ecological observations, incidents, and recommendations
* Liaise confidently with clients, contractors, regulators, and internal teams
About You:
* Several years of experience in a similar ECoW or ecological monitoring role
* Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and ecological mitigation practices
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Comfortable working independently in dynamic site environments
* Full, clean UK driving licence is essential
