The successful Structural Engineer will work closely with clients, architects, detailing teams, and project managers to develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective steelwork solutions from concept through to construction.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
* Design and engineer structural steelwork solutions in accordance with relevant British Standards and Eurocodes
* Carry out structural calculations for steel frames, connections, and associated structures
* Review architectural and engineering drawings to develop practical steelwork designs
* Liaise with clients, consulting engineers, architects, and internal project teams
* Produce design calculations, technical reports, and engineering documentation
* Support the detailing team by reviewing fabrication and erection drawings
* Provide technical support throughout fabrication and site installation phases
* Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project efficiency and reduce costs
* Attend design meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary project stakeholders
* Ensure designs comply with current regulations, specifications, and industry standards
* Assist with resolving technical queries during project delivery
✅ Ideal Candidate Profile
* Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Previous experience working on structural steelwork projects
* Strong understanding of steel design principles, fabrication, and erection processes
* Proficient in structural analysis and design software
* Ability to produce and review structural calculations
* Knowledge of British Standards, Eurocodes, and UK construction regulations
* Experience working collaboratively with detailing, fabrication, and project delivery teams
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Working towards or already achieved Chartered Engineer status (preferred)
