Executive Summary
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the E&I Engineer is responsible for providing expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of Electrochlorination Control system, supporting multiple projects and resolving technical issues.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Design and develop new control systems, which can be complex in nature necessating the expert application of engineering knowledge and control disciplines such as process control, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).
* Review project specifications which apply to De Nora’s supplied equipment and ensure design meets the project requirements.
* Prepare material requisition and perform technical bid evaluation for PLC Panel and Junction Boxes and cables.
* Responsible for the preparation, review and approval of PLC panel outline drawing, PLC wiring diagram, PLC components, instrument I/O list, alarm and setpoint list, cable list, control architecture, HMI graphics, logic diagrams, operating procedures and etc.
* Responsible for planning and self-monitoring daily engineering and design work assignments.
* Work with panel makers and monitor schedules to meet completion dates, customer technical specifications and internal technical specifications.
* Develop and use engineering standards, procedures and forms for engineering design and production fabrications.
* Prepare FAT procedure and test Control system.
* Responsible for PLC FAT with Panel maker, Client and End-users.
* Conduct training on plant operation & maintenance.
* Support to input Instruction & Operation manual.
* Support plant start-up & commission activities/troubleshooting on site.
* Provide engineering advice and support to Sales and Proposal team, engineers, Project Managers and represent the company for technical discussion and reviews.
* Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.
* To perform any other ad-hoc engineering related duties as required.
Job Requirements
* Minimum Bachelor Degree in related fields such as Electrical etc.
* At least 3 years of relevant experience in related field such as water and wastewater treatment process design.
* Require PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens.
* Experience with SCADA system highly preferred.
* Familiar with hazard area classification.
* Good knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering field.
* Good computer literacy skills with software like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and AutoCAD.
* Fluent in written and spoken English and able to communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors and suppliers.
* Problem solving and analytical skills a must.
* Good team member who can work well across various departments as well as working independently with minimum supervision and result-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
* Pro‑active personality and meticulous; attentive to details with accuracy.
* Able to adhere to tight deadlines.
* Requires overseas travel (10%) to attend FAT with the client at the panel manufacturer's facility.
