Band 8a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist – Job share (3 & 2 days)
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity to join Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust (SABP) and work within the Surrey Heath Community Mental Health Recovery Service (CMHRS). We are looking for two part‑time roles – 2 days and 3 days.
Responsibilities
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the psychological needs of service users.
* Mentor, supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff including students.
* Promote a psychological perspective within teams and share with other colleagues.
* Collaborate with team managers and clinical leads in the development and delivery of effective services.
* Work flexibly within the service and lead on complex and challenging cases.
* Develop expertise within your area of specialism and contribute to service development projects.
* Participate in recruitment and selection of staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
* Completion of an appropriate clinical supervision course.
* Experience working with a wide range of mental‑health issues and cognitive profiles across the lifespan.
* Familiarity with systemic, behavioural and individual therapeutic models.
* Demonstrable post‑registration clinical experience and competency in a mental‑health context.
* Experience contributing to clinical practice, service development or project work.
* UK professional registration (current). UK Registration
* Standard Disclosure and Barring Service check (Rehabilitation of Offenders Act).

Salary, Work Pattern & Contract
Band 8a – £57,888 to £64,880 per annum (incl. 5 % fringe benefit). Pro‑rated for part‑time. Permanent contract. Full‑time pattern.
