The Vacancy
Recruitment Manager
Locations: Redhill, Swansea, Bradford-on-Avon, Chester, Birmingham
Fixed-term basis – 14 months
Start date: August 2025
Purpose
Responsible for developing, driving, and delivering the strategy for sourcing, attracting, evaluating, and placing suitably qualified candidates across the Binnies UK & Australia business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage up to 300 vacancies simultaneously, depending on discipline, level, salary, and specialism. Focus on response speed and filling roles, especially for contingent and sub-contract roles, balancing transactional recruitment with talent acquisition process improvements.
2. Manage and develop remote team members across the UK.
3. Use the recruitment portal (recruitment+) to launch vacancies and manage the candidate journey. Promote effective use of the portal among hiring managers and recruiters.
4. Ensure best practices in interviewing standards are followed by the recruitment team and hiring managers.
5. Design and implement talent acquisition strategies, including successful campaigns and cost-effective sourcing plans.
6. Partner with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand hiring needs and develop recruitment strategies.
7. Innovate in promoting Binnies and attracting candidates through various means.
8. Achieve KPI targets and develop SLAs with the business for recruitment processes.
9. Ensure compliance with all HR and data protection policies, including GDPR and IR35 regulations.
10. Contribute to monthly reports and provide recruitment data as required.
Talent Acquisition
1. Build talent networks for future roles.
2. Champion employer branding initiatives.
3. Proactively source candidates via networking, LinkedIn, forums, research, direct sourcing, referrals, and professional organizations.
4. Develop and maintain talent pools and pipelines.
5. Foster strong relationships with candidates and sources.
6. Support the delivery of Binnies’ Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy.
7. Update role profiles and selection criteria to reflect core competencies and cultural values.
Standards and Compliance
1. Monitor vacancies to ensure service levels and cost/time targets are met.
2. Conduct market analysis and gather competitive data to inform recruitment strategies.
3. Ensure recruitment processes comply with legal and internal standards, including confidentiality and data protection.
4. Undertake additional duties and training as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Experience in stakeholder relationship management, interviewing, employment law, and problem-solving.
* Extensive progressive recruiting experience, especially in the engineering sector.
* Proven leadership in managing an internal recruitment team.
