We’re looking for a skilled and proactive individual to join our dynamic Transport & Development team, which covers the full spectrum from setting travel policy and undertaking transport projects as well to undertaking the highway development control function. You’ll be assisting with the preparation of local strategy documents and commissioning transport projects, as well as assessing planning applications and approving developers’ off-site works and travel-related initiatives to deliver the necessary initiatives. You will help cultivate good working relationships with key internal and external partners, particularly to establish how required infrastructure will be secured. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: A HND (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline Solid technical experience in transport planning or highways development Sharp numerical and measurement skills and a rational approach to problem solving Effective communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders Competency with ICT systems and technical tools, including Microsoft Office and preferably junction modelling and AutoCAD software.
