Job Description
The International Consumer Bank (ICB) is home to many of the firm's most innovative initiatives, including new products, services, acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and collaborations. This division is responsible for building Chase UK, acquiring Nutmeg, and investing in C6.
This role supports the Chase UK business, which aims to revolutionize mobile banking with seamless journeys and excellent customer experience. As a Banking Operations Control Manager at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will lead and develop an enhanced control framework to support ongoing risk assessment and management.
Job Responsibilities
* Assist in designing and implementing control frameworks to ensure regulatory and internal policy compliance.
* Build relationships with banking operations stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks related to products and services.
* Support audit activities, control testing, process reviews, and issue management.
* Conduct risk assessments for product development and changes, ensuring risks are identified and addressed.
* Monitor and improve the effectiveness of controls.
* Provide training on control processes and foster a risk-aware culture.
* Contribute to the CORE program focusing on control design, risk identification, issue management, and reporting.
* Partner with control colleagues across functions to maintain strong business relationships.
* Support operational risk practices, including reporting and control evaluations.
* Analyze programme data and metrics to assess control environment health.
* Participate in cross-department initiatives such as training and awareness programs.
Qualifications and Skills
* 3+ years in operational risk management within financial services, compliance, audit, or related fields.
* Strong risk assessment and control development skills.
* Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders.
* Experience in stakeholder management and remediation processes.
* Process mapping expertise.
* Effective time management and attention to detail.
* Comfortable in an agile environment and a team player.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Alteryx, or CORE is a plus.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of retail banking processes and regulations. A relevant Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
