About The Role
Support and assist the Commercial team in planning, developing, and implementing strategies for producing various fuels for EfW and biomass plants in the UK and Europe, as well as recycled gypsum powder. Provide cover for the operation of the Ridham weighbridge as needed.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Compile weekly and monthly KPI reports for KCC, Suffolk, and Kingston contracts, detailing loads sent from external suppliers, sources, weights, and quality.
2. Assist with raising TFS Regulation pre-notifications to meet end user requirements and manage CRL stock.
3. Ensure pre-notifications are completed accurately, sent to regulators within deadlines, and properly documented.
4. Book recyclate load movements with internal and external customers.
5. Organize logistics for brokered recyclables loads.
6. Book loads with recyclate processing customers, securing references and circulating information as needed.
7. Raise and reconcile purchase orders and invoices.
8. Assist with recyclable rebates and annual price reviews.
9. Compile quarterly waste returns for the Environment Agency.
10. Support forecasting for incoming and outgoing tonnage with Fuel Resourcing and Waste Output Managers.
11. Manage site traffic via the weighbridge, ensuring compliance with procedures.
12. Verify incoming loads for compliance, record weights and waste types accurately.
13. Ensure hauliers have valid Waste Carrier Licences and WTNs per movement.
14. Report contamination or non-performing wastes immediately.
15. Distribute site rules and guidance to weighbridge customers.
16. Promote health and safety, report unsafe conditions, and comply with safety systems.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook (intermediate level)
* Ability to prioritize workload
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work independently
* Experience in operations or a similar environment
* Experience in administrative roles dealing with customers and service providers
* GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent
Desirable Skills
* Experience with AMCS software
* Previous experience in the waste industry
