Description Grade UE06: £34,610 to £39,906 per annum, pro-rata if part time CAHSS / Research Office Guaranteed hours contract Fixed term: 12 months We are looking for two Research Assistants to provide research assistance to research staff and projects in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, on specified tasks where methods are predominantly pre-defined. The posts are advertised as a Guaranteed Hours contract (up to 9 hours per week) fixed term for 12 months with minimum of 10 hours per year. We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. The Research Assistants will be expected to use the PGR facilities allocated to them as a student, unless working on data with a confidential nature The Opportunity: These posts are available to current University of Edinburgh PhD students only and have been designed to support staff in a flexible and responsive way, requiring primarily short-term or ad-hoc assistance on research projects or data gathering exercises. The posts are designed to also provide research development opportunities for our PhD students. The salary for this post is £34,610 to £39,906 per annum.
