A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced
Internal Communications Manager
to join their team and take ownership of internal messaging across the business. This is a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for a communications professional who thrives on translating complex business updates into clear, engaging content that connects employees to the company's vision and values.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving employee engagement, supporting transformation initiatives, and ensuring consistent, high-quality communications across multiple channels and formats.
Key Responsibilities
* Editorial Strategy:
Develop and manage a robust editorial pipeline, producing high-quality content that reflects the organisation's strategic priorities.
* Copywriting:
Craft clear, concise, and engaging communications tailored to diverse internal audiences.
* Messaging Alignment:
Ensure all messaging is consistent, well-targeted, and aligned with business objectives.
* Channel Management:
Oversee internal communications platforms and support the delivery of key events such as executive Town Halls.
* Transformation Support:
Collaborate with change and improvement teams to communicate project milestones and articulate the transformation journey.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with senior leaders, HR, and marketing teams to ensure unified and impactful messaging.
* Measurement & Evaluation:
Assist in auditing communications activity and implementing improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
* Agency Collaboration:
Liaise with external partners when required to produce engaging and compliant communications materials.
Essential Experience & Skills:
* Extensive experience in internal communications, ideally within large, regulated organisations.
* Background in financial services or similar sectors.
* Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
* Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
* Strong understanding of project and programme communications.
* Highly organised, creative, and confident, with excellent planning and multitasking abilities.
* Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
Desirable:
* Experience in stakeholder management and employee engagement strategies.
* Familiarity with communications measurement and reporting tools.
