What you'll do
1. Regularly review plan, consider driver debrief feedback from the transport team.
2. Take corrective action if improvements identified.
3. Plan timings cost effectively, reviewing time allocated to drops Vs actual time taken by delivery crew. Amend where necessary.
4. Monitor TW success (OTIF – on time in full). Review missed windows and identify root cause. Repeat failures to be identified and resolved with support of planning manager.
5. Ensure that planning KPI and volume reports are produced in a timely fashion for internal and external consumption.
6. Liaise with Customer Services teams feeding back any delivery queries/problems and assisting in the resolution of any customer delivery day and time window issues
7. To assist and deputise for the planning manager when required.
8. Adhere to all depot Health and Safety procedures.
About you
9. Previous experience / can demonstrate knowledge of transport planning.
10. Knowledge of systems, ability to learn quickly (DIPS; JDE; Microlise)
11. Geographical awareness (Scotland)
12. Ability to problem solve calmly.
13. Ability to work well individually or as part of a team.
14. Ability to work to challenging deadlines.
15. Good communicator
16. Flexible attitude to working times.
