The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor with 2–4 years' PQE to join a well-established Employment team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, alongside corporate support and transactional work.
The successful candidate will be confident advising employer clients across a wide spectrum of employment law issues and will have experience gained within a reputable commercial, City, or specialist employment practice.
Key Responsibilities
Advising employers on a full range of UK employment law matters, including:
Employee relations
Performance management
Disciplinary and grievance procedures
Discrimination and whistleblowing issues
Redundancies and restructures
Senior exits and settlement agreements
Day-to-day HR matters
Providing employment law support on corporate and property transactions, including:
Legal due diligence
Drafting due diligence reports
Employment warranties and indemnities
TUPE advice
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating employment-related documentation, including:
Employment contracts
Senior executive service agreements
Workplace policies
Settlement agreements
Managing Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to final hearing, including:
Drafting pleadings and witness statements
Disclosure exercises
Preliminary hearings
Judicial mediations
Advising senior executives on complex workplace disputes, exits and settlement negotiations.
Skills & Experience
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2–4 years' PQE in Employment Law.
Strong technical knowledge of UK employment law.
Experience advising employers and business owners.
Exposure to transactional employment support work.
Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines effectively.
Strong client-facing and commercial advisory skills.
Experience conducting advocacy at preliminary hearing level.
Desirable
Experience advising senior executives.
Experience with restrictive covenant disputes.
Experience handling County Court discrimination claims.
