At Creative Composites, we design and manufacture world-leading composite components. Our customer base spans major OEMs in a range of sectors such as automotive, medical, transport and construction. Our state-of-the-art equipment includes the largest compression moulding presses in the UK, robotic cells, 5-axis CNC machines, conveyorized paint lines and advanced assembly fixtures. Total number of employees : 200 Currently manufacturing on a three-shift rotational pattern (36.5 Hours) over a 5-day week. Manufacturing Manager Outline of Job We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to take responsibility for the Manufacturing function across the Company which includes people, plant, facilities, and budget management to exceed customer expectations for quality, cost, delivery and driving operational excellence. You will have the experience needed to strike the right balance between hands-on engagement in daily activities and strategic deployment of the company objectives. Experience in high volume / high variety production of complex products is essential. You should also have demonstrable experience leading and improving a skilled team to deliver consistently high performance as people management is a key part of this role. To achieve the strategic plans for the development of manufacturing you will need excellent prioritisation skills, high energy, clear focus, a positive can do attitude and be calm under pressure. Key Requirements: Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised and facilitated. Direct and drive implementation of lean business strategy, drive continuous improvement and implement OEE measurements across all manufacturing related areas of the business. Overall responsibility for Manufacturing, Health & Safety, and Training activities across the business Create and implement best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance. Develop and manage master production schedule and operations budgets for products to directly support and ensure that the product is delivered to agreed cost, quality, and timelines. Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained enabling them to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles. Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality, IATF16949,ISO45000 and ISO14001 standards. Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development. Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines. Qualifications and Experience Levels: Demonstrable experience of leading a manufacturing function with a proven track record in strategic manufacturing leadership delivering effective manufacturing strategies, policies, processes, and systems Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements. Proven project management and build quality experience.
