We are expanding and looking for an experienced Estimator to transform customer requirements into accurate, competitive quotations - balancing technical scope, manufacturability, risk, and margin.
As an Estimator, your work is a craft: combining technical knowledge, attention to detail, and creativity to shape proposals that form the foundation of our projects. Our services are highly specialized and unique, and it takes a particular mindset to work with them - one that values precision, problem-solving, and pride in getting it right.
If you enjoy translating drawings and specifications into precise cost models, collaborating across engineering, procurement, and sales, and thrive in a fast-moving international environment, this role is for you.
What you'll do
* Translate customer requirements, drawings, and specifications into accurate cost models and quotations.
* Develop detailed estimates covering materials, fabrication, labour, subcontracting, and logistics.
* Balance technical scope, manufacturability, risk, and margin to ensure competitive bids.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and sales teams throughout the quotation process.
* Support continuous improvement by analysing project outcomes and refining estimating methods.
What we hope you will bring to the team
* Preferably a degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
* 3+ years of experience in estimating/proposals, ideally within heat exchangers, pressure vessels, thermal equipment, or in a fabrication company.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
* Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding, forming, machining) and shop routings.
* Familiarity with ASME, TEMA, or API standards (an advantage).
* Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, and estimating tools (e.g., Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Cleopatra).
