An exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Outpatient Respiratory Therapy Team at LUHFT, based at Broadgreen Hospital.
Role Overview
We seek a dynamic B7 Physiotherapist to work in the Joint Upper Airway Clinic (ENT outpatients) and the Respiratory Clinic (Severe Asthma outpatients). This split practitioner role provides input into the joint clinic with ENT and Respiratory consultants and delivers treatment for patients with Upper Airway disorders and Severe Asthma in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide senior clinical and operational leadership for the development and running of Upper Airway and Asthma outpatient physiotherapy services.
* Deliver treatment and rehabilitation for adults with chronic respiratory illnesses, severe asthma, breathing pattern disorders and ILO management.
* Lead and support the multidisciplinary team, including therapy, nursing and medical staff, in complex outpatient cases.
* Develop and manage the clinical service, including strategic planning, audits, and evidence‑based practice implementation.
* Engage in research, regular clinical audits and maintain up‑to‑date skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills
* Specialist knowledge of chronic respiratory illnesses, asthma management, breathing pattern disorders and ILO management.
* Significant experience working with adults who have complex respiratory presentations and multiple co‑morbidities.
* Strong leadership, initiative, team ethic, self‑awareness and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with the wider team.
* Flexibility to work in line with service demands and to adapt to varying workloads.
