Are you a strategic and ambitious leader looking to make a real impact on local government finance? We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Revenues Manager to lead our Revenues Service at a critical time for local government. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will play a key role in maximising income, supporting financial sustainability, and shaping the future of our services. About the role This is a leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Councilandrsquo;s Revenues Service, including: Council Tax Business Rates (NNDR) Business Improvement District (BID) levy Sundry income (including Adult Social Care charges) and debt recovery. You will: Oversee the annual billing process Lead the effectiveandnbsp;collection and recovery of all local taxation and income streams Maximise income and improve collection performance to support the Councilandrsquo;s financial position Collaborate with Finance colleagues on the Collection Fund and contribute to financial planning and forecasting Drive service transformation, including digitalisation and continuous improvement Provide expert advice to senior leaders and elected members Ensure robust governance, compliance and performance management About you We are looking for a credible and influential leader who can operate at a strategic level while maintaining strong operational oversight. You will bring: Significant experience in Revenues or a related financial service area In-depth knowledge of Council Tax, Business Rates and associated legislation A strong track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering service improvement Experience of managing income collection and contributing to financial performance Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a political environment A strategic mindset and the ability to use data and insight to drive decision-making A relevant professional qualification (e.g. IRRV) is desirable, or equivalent senior management experience.
