Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care while adhering to care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support individuals in maintaining their independence while providing companionship and emotional support.
* Follow care plans meticulously to ensure the specific needs of each resident are met.
* Document care provided and any changes in the resident's condition accurately in IT systems.
* Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families regarding care needs and progress.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to care practices.
* Drive to various locations if required for home care duties, ensuring safe transportation for clients.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them is beneficial.
* Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and team members.
* Strong IT skills are advantageous for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
* Excellent communication skills are essential for building rapport with residents and their families.
