PfP Thrive is Places for People's skills and learning academy, designed to develop talent within our organisation and across the housing and construction sectors. More about the role

As an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of assessment and compliance across our Housing qualifications and apprenticeship programmes. Your expertise will ensure that learners receive exceptional support and that all delivery meets regulatory and awarding body requirements.

In this role, you'll oversee quality assurance processes for Housing Diplomas (up to Level 5) and Housing Apprenticeships (up to Level 4), working closely with assessors and trainers to uphold best practice. You'll bring a strong understanding of social housing legislation—including the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023, Awaab's Law, and Fit for Habitation—ensuring our programmes reflect current industry standards and legal obligations.

Applicants will be within a commutable distance of our Derby Training Centre as they will tend to spend on average 1-2 days a week on site. When not on site, you will work from home or will be observing one of our tutors at the relevant site in the UK. Therefore, there will be some travel involved

More about you

Essential criteria:

* Experience in a similar Internal Quality Assurance role within vocational education, ideally involving Housing qualifications (Diplomas up to Level 5) and Housing Apprenticeship programmes (Level 3 and 4).
* Relevant and up to date understanding of social housing legislation, including the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023, Awaab's Law, Fit for Habitation and its implications for housing and tenant rights.
* Knowledge of Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and DfE funding rules for apprenticeships, including off-the-job training requirements, programme eligibility, and compliance expectations.
* A Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent, a relevant Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1)and a Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (or equivalent IQA qualification



Desirable criteria:

* Experience delivering or supporting Housing qualifications as a tutor, coach, or assessor, providing insight into curriculum design and learner engagement.
* Membership of a relevant professional body, such as the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), demonstrating commitment to professional standards and sector development.
* Experience supporting Ofsted inspections or external audits, contributing to evidence gathering, documentation, and continuous improvement planning.
* Strong working knowledge of safeguarding practices in an educational setting
