37hrs a week including approximately 1 in 4 weekends.
Mixed Shift Patterns 7am-3pm, 11am-7pm, 9.30-5.30pm
Full clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes required.
Our client is a not-for-profit housing association located in Luton. We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to join an established company.
Purpose:
As an Assistant Resident Coach, you will be the primary supporter for residents working with the Resident Coaches to deliver the best possible outcomes for our residents; utilising psychologically informed ways of working to provide a service which is flexible and adaptive to the changing needs of customers and the team.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver comprehensive support to residents.
* Work in a psychologically informed way, coaching residents in a person-centred manner.
* Collaborate with the Resident Coaching Team to ensure consistent service quality.
* Conduct holistic assessments of new residents, devise and implement support and risk management plans.
* Maintain daily recordings to evidence support given and reflect any resident changes.
* Liaise efficiently with other professionals such as social workers, solicitors, translators, police, and education providers.
* Conduct daily coaching sessions.
* Manage your own caseload by organizing coaching sessions, attending meetings, making referrals, and providing person-centred support.
* Think creatively and practically to deliver optimal support.
* Assist with benefit claims and personal contribution charges.
* Support residents in learning independent life skills for successful move-on.
* Participate in reflective practice sessions regarding residents with complex needs.
* Recognize challenging situations and use appropriate skills to support colleagues and influence positive resident behaviour.
* Ensure residents are informed of their rights and participate in service improvements.
* Attend networking and partnership meetings for support and ideas from external organizations.
* Follow policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Fairness, Lone Working, SOVA, and Child Protection, reporting concerns as required.
* Undertake Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks every 3 years and update your manager of any changes.
